Every post, rail, and picket is sourced from durable lumber chosen to last through harsh Oklahoma summers and winters, and with the proper maintenance and upkeep, your wood fence will last for decades.
We offer several different species of lumber to allow our customers to choose the best option for their budget and preference. All of our fences come with our 1-year installation warranty no matter the choice of material. Our wood choices include: Western Red Cedar 5/8” or 7/8” thick pickets in 6’ tall a nd 5/8” pickets on 8’ tall fence, 2×4” douglas fir runners or western red cedar runners.
Western Red Cedar
Western Red Cedar is the premium option for privacy fence in Oklahoma City. No other type of wood utilized in fence construction combines the stability, beauty, and longevity of Western Red Cedar. It contains natural tannin oils that protect the lumber from insects, rot, and decay. Our standard Western Red Cedar grade is a 5/8” thick #2 Face, which is the highest quality board produced with knots and is what is quoted and installed on nearly every job in Oklahoma. The boards will have tight, sound knots with little defect. Upgrade to #1 boards is available for all fences when the product is available.
Japanese Cedar
Japanese cedar, not to be confused with Chinese or Incense cedar, has come into popularity in the Oklahoma fence market in the last decade due to the unavailability of western red cedar. Japanese cedar fence lumber is waterproof and like western red cedar, contains tannins to help withstand insect damage and decay but it is not near the quality of the western red cedar and will not last as long. Most of our compeitors try to pass it off as western red cedar by putting on your quote “red cedar” and you would never know the difference before a few years down the road when your fence was rotted! Do research when building your fence, it will pay off in the long run!
Wood Fence Staining Options
We offer fence staining as a service and recommend all wood fences to be stained since even cedar wood occasionally cracks or splits, stain helps stop or slow this occurrence. We use premium oil based wood defender fence stain to protect your fence from the elements. There are several different color options available to enhance your property’s appearance. Our wood fence staining services are great for Homeowners Association (HOA) communities in the Oklahoma City and Edmond metro that require routine fence maintenance and staining annually.
Fence Construction Process

We build your wood fence from scratch on site. We set every post in concrete so your posts won’t shift or lean due to Oklahoma’s crazy weather. We nail up every board one by one using hot dipped galvanized ring shank nails that won’t pull apart. This allows for a custom construction that is stronger than pre-built panels. Your wood fence is built to last.
One of the major thing that separates us from the majority of fence companies in Oklahoma City (outside of the fact that we do not install prefabricated fence panels) is that we can use 2.5” square tube galvanized poles with 2x4” runners attached with screws or 2 3/8” round metal galvanized posts that are attached with screws.
We offer a variety of wood privacy fence styles for our customers to choose from. Our board on board style wood fencing offers complete privacy with overlapping boards. Our shadowbox style wood fencing offers some privacy but is not completely opaque when viewed from an angle and therefore offers less wind resistance.
Although wood fencing is not as durable or long lasting as Trex or steel fencing, with some preventative maintenance, your wood fence can still look great for years. Staining and sealing offers surface protection against weathering, fading, and changes in climate.
